Traditional vs. Collaborative Leaders

I ran across this info graphic of Traditional vs. Collaborative Leaders. I would be willing to bet that most teachers would wholeheartedly want their principal to be a Collaborative Leader. The problem I see is that I don’t know if Collaborative Principals would work in all schools in all situations. I’m pretty sure depending on the situation you are placed in, a little bit of both types of Leaders would be necessary to be successful.

Great graph. Collaborative leadership in education is a great way to improve the school climate.Everyone wins even when there are situations were everyone does not agree. Having a relationship of trust and support from the staff allows the principal to deal effectively with situations. Its all about team work.
