Janet Yellen is currently the Federal Reserve System’s Vice Chairman behind Ben Bernanke. If voted in, (after Thanksgiving) she will be the first woman in the world to head a major central bank.
Her background in economic’s speaks for itself. She has taught economics, was the head of Bill Clinton’s Council of economics and was president of San Francisco’s Federal Reserve Bank.
Will she be the first female leader?
Will diversity be a major factor?
Is this another sign of the female presence at the table?
Let me know what you think?
