Why school leadership matters?

This article discusses the importance of school leadership and teacher instruction in order to transform failing schools.  It talks about two different types of leaders. The first leader is the one that copes, which means that they never complete the task because something always comes up. The other type of leader is the transformer that actually puts action into words.  They complete the task and get the job done.

According to the article persistence, open-mindedness and optimism are helpful qualifies when facing challenging school situations.
